The Town of Madisonville was incorporated in 1910. It is the second largest town in St. Tammany Parish, located directly north of Covington on Lake Pontchartrain and west of Lacombe. The current population estimate for 2008 is 7,528 with a median age of 41 years.
Held each year in April, featuring entertainment for all ages, food booths, carnival rides and games, exhibits of interest to fishermen and women, antique cars and tractors. This event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Town of Madisonville government.
Over held at the Madisonville Airport on the second Saturday in October. This event is a fundraiser for the Madisonville-Teche Airport. This is an aerobatic air show that features some of the most famous and talented pilots in the world including Sean D. Tucker, Patty Wagstaff, Michael Goulian, and many more.
